Access control systems

Control who can go where, and know who did. Door readers, permissions and door entry designed so the people using them every day do not need training, and the people managing them can make changes without a call-out.

Practical detail

Access control is a door problem before it is a software problem

Readers and permissions are the easy part. Door hardware, power and network are what decide whether a system still works smoothly two years later.

We look at door closers, maglocks, strikes and exit devices at survey stage, because a reader that cannot release the door reliably is worse than a key. Where fire doors are involved, the release arrangement has to work with the fire strategy for the building.

For managed buildings we agree who can add and remove credentials, and what happens when a tenant leaves. That is usually the difference between a system that stays accurate and one that quietly fills with old permissions.
